Christmas weekend

Christmas Eve dinner was spent at a local hibachi restaurant then returned home to make some cookies for Santa. The boys went to bed early in anticipation of Santa's visit and were both more than happy with the presents left behind the next morning. Christmas night was spent with their cousins, Gran and the Merzlaks and Saturday we all went to Granddad's house. We're all pretty tired from the long weekend and not very excited about school or work tomorrow.

Cooper Holt's first haircut

After Walker's short haircut last week, Kelli would only allow a trim for Cooper. It started off well, but he was not a fan of the whole experience.

Pumpkin Patch

Walker had a good time riding a pony, playing with bunnies, walking on top of pumpkins and taking pictures, but Cooper Holt simply wanted to eat the hay.

First bowl of rice cereal

Judging by his size, you would think he's been eating meat & potatoes for months, but today was Cooper Holt's first day eating something other than milk. He finished it in no time at all and was all smiles throughout.

Asa Holt Daniel III

July 12, 1951 - September 4, 2009


Martinez, GA. – Entered into rest Friday, September 4, 2009, at his residence, Mr. Asa Holt Daniel III, 58, husband of Ann Bailey Daniel.

Mr. Daniel was a native of North Augusta, SC and life long resident of the Augusta area.

He was a graduate of North Augusta High School and member of the Augusta Bulldog Club. Mr. Daniel was the owner of Classic Stucco and Stone.


Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: April Berry(Chris), Kim Buckalew(Stan), and Natalie Merzlak(Jeremy); sons: Jason Daniel, Chad Daniel(Melissa), and Robbie Hammett(Kelli); six grandsons and six granddaughters; his father: Asa H. Daniel, Jr.; and brother: Mark Daniel(Pat). He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Preston and Julia McKie.

Thank you Grandma!

After a lot of late nights with the baby and many meals for everyone else, grandma's trip to Larryville is over. Thank you for all of the help over the past month!

It's hard to believe it, but Cooper Holt is now three-months old and huge. His monkey pajamas are 9-month pajamas, but you'd never know it judging by this picture...

Back to work

Today was Kelli's first day back at work. She wouldn't let me take a picture, but she and Walker both looked like this at breakfast...

Dad's graduation day

Saturday was graduation day for Robbie as he recently completed his Masters of Sport Administration degree. Walker did a great job as the photographer and was very vocal in his support of all of the graduates. I don't think he's ever met a stranger.

Holt is now two weeks old

Yesterday was Holt's two week birthday and he has regained the little bit of weight he lost and he's now over 10 lbs. Walker and mom will celebrate today by getting some time alone at Jillian's to play games and eat candy.

The vacation is over

I am headed back to work tomorrow and I can't say I'm excited about it. The past week has been fun and Kelli and I are very thankful for everyone's kind words, flowers, food and visits (especially Mrs. Rogers' week here). Thank you everyone!

We are now home

After two days in the hospital, Holt, mom and dad are now home. Mom and baby will be taking a nap shortly while dad and Walker go to a friend's birthday party. If you have not seen the pictures from the hospital yet, click here

Walker is slowly getting used to being a big brother too...

The big day is finally here!

Apparently the extra two days added some extra weight to the little guy. Cooper Holt Hammett was born at 3:43pm today and weighed in at 9 lbs. 11 oz. (and we thought Walker was big). Mom is recovering well and we're excited he's finally here. We'll try and get more pictures up soon, but these will have to do for now...
